“Simone has the best record on our tennis team, she is 13-3 and in our
district match she beat a player that she had lost to twice in the
regular season. She is a self taught tennis player and her success
comes from her will and spirit rather than her fine tone and technique.
Simone has the greatest determination and mental toughness of any
athlete I know. She is a leader on our team and sets a good example
for the other girls on the team. The other players on our team
described her as a good role model, very welcoming, and someone who has
strong determination at our senior night. I wish that I had an entire
team full of players with Simone’s determination to win. Simone is
also an atribute to the community as she teaches swimming lessons to
children.”
